Gimena Mazzeo Design is currently the only dedicated yacht interior and exterior design studio in Palma. The Studio is situated in the port district of Mallorca alongside the premier traditional shipyard Astilleros de Mallorca, and just minutes away from the service yard of STP. The various marinas of Palma are all just minutes away.
We specialise in design services for private residences, yacht interiors and exteriors. Our portfolio includes concept yacht interiors, new construction yacht contracts, yacht refits and conversions, bespoke custom furniture, and residential projects.
We have full technical and engineering capabilities using industry standard software such as AutoCAD or Rhino, and can produce design intent, with samples/mood boards and sketches. We also provide detailed design drawings up to Workshop Drawing level to support the outfitting companies.

The Studio is led by our Founder and Head Designer Gimena Mazzeo. Born in Argentina she was raised with a hunger for knowledge (both her parents are scientists) but also loved creativity and design. She combined these passions at the University of Buenos Aires where she achieved a Masters Degree in Industrial Design. She thrived at the start of her career in areas traditionally viewed as male environments, including the design and application of corporate graphics to GP Formula racing cars.
In 2001 Gimena moved to Spain, and began a period of design with Zara Woman, later becoming a founder member of Zara Home, helping launch and develop the brand worldwide. An architectural and interior design project for a museum in Mallorca saw her fall in love with the island and opened her eyes to the world of luxury private yachts. Via commissions for individual yacht projects she found they embodied everything she had previously learnt as an industrial designer; applying art and science so that these environments are the epitome of luxury, balancing aesthetics, form, functionality and operation. Her background in the field of fashion means understanding the importance of fabric quality, details designed into a product, and the need for its careful selection in creating the perfect setting – finishing touches which are crucial to the overall design.
Now after more than a decade working in the industry, Gimena overseas a range of projects that has included some of the world’s greatest and most famous yachts to have undergone refits in Palma or new builds elsewhere in Europe. Understanding the needs of owners, guests and crew means we translate their requirements and dreams into reality and today our portfolio includes many of the world’s most prestigious yachts.
We have progressed to new yacht building projects and our team now draws on the skills of architects who specialise in space planning and yacht construction; a 3D visual team for true-to-life visualization of the spaces and so outfitting contracts can be accurately placed; a team of dedicated interior stylists dealing with material and equipment selection and finishes; and experienced operational or shipyard-experienced project management to oversee production in the shipyard or at the interior outfitters’ workshops.
As our Studio continues to grow and expand we remain focused on Gimena’s driving ethos for the business – ‘creating exceptional spaces for exceptional people’.
